Free was a no show?

I read this a minute ago, but forgot all about it. Apparently, Free was supposed to be in a play but turned out to be MIA. Now, I think there's a deeper explanation to the situation, so take this with a grain of salt. It's from the October 25th edition of the BV Buzz, written by Jawn Murray.

Finalist Trenyce (season two) has joined the cast of the 'Soul Kittens Cabaret,' the musical revue written and produced by Brownstone singer Nicci Gilbert. Trenyce is currently in Atlanta rehearsing with fellow cast members including singer Tweet, actress Tammy Townsend ('Rock Me Baby'), singer Monifah and others. Former '106 & Park' host Free was also supposed to be in the production, but never showed up for rehearsals.

Okay, now that I've cleared my plate of burdens, let me tell y'all what's really good. The picture below of Free and Tigger was taken at BCC and FAMU's Classic Weekend. Here's a personal account from Nbeach55 over at Free's Fan Club, who was actually there doin' it up way big. So shouts out to her for the info.

Before I give y'all the lowdown, I got some things to say in order to exhale. I was gone for quite some time, that's why the site hasn't been updated. But lo and behold, I came back to find that some of my sh*t had been straight jacked right from under me. I went to another Free site and saw MY info in someone else's post. How did I know it was my sh*t? Well, I know my sh*t when I see my sh*t and THAT was definitely my sh*t. The info that was jacked was MINE, it was personal information that only I had, no one else. Now, I'm not gonna say any names, but I don't appreciate that mess AT ALL. I can't stop anyone from reading what's on this site and putting it on another, but can I AT LEAST get some credit? How about a courtesy of....? Please, act like you know I was at least one of the FIRST people to give you that exclusive sh*t. Trust me, I'm not mad, but next time, damn, drop a plug for me or something.

FREEstyle Friday.

Last week's Freestyle Friday on 106 definitely turned out to be all about Free. The champion basically took it to Julissa (I shall hold my peace about her). Of course, she got her feelings hurt, but that mess was crazy funny. Here it is if any of you missed it:

"Them rhymes, you should hold 'em in. The day you win, Free'll come slap Julissa and host the show again."

After he said that, the crowd went crazy and I was busy rollin' on the floor in front of my TV laughing. Keep it real, Julissa, or as I like to call her, Yasmeen, doesn't even hold a candle to Free and I think that's an understatement. But hey, that's just MY opinion. Holla at ya folk, tell me what you thought about the battle.

Wishing On A Star.

I think we're all hoping Free will get a record deal soon and put out her long awaited debut album. But could it be that Free has already struck a deal that we are unaware of? Well, I'm wishing on a star for that one. I received this email back in August from DJ K~Sly of LA's 100.3 The Beat.

Hey hey...thanks for your info. Yes, she did have a finished album, but has to record some more b/c it was shelved. Free doesn't plan to put out all of the old material, so, she's recording some new tracks. She had a deal previously, but is looking for new representation.

...Word is out that Q-Tip has signed with Motown Records, but I hear he's not the only one joining the roster of the famed label. Sources say that Tamia, Pras of The Fugees, '106 & Park' host Free and Chauncey Hannibal of Blackstreet have all struck solo deals with the label as well. Both Tamia and Free, if the reports pan out, would have followed Sylvia Rhone over to Motown from their previous stints at the defunct Elektra Records.

Now, Q-Tip currently has a deal with Motown, so......? I'll let y'all draw your own conclusions. But I will say that this move would be a lot more logical for Free than the aforementioned Def Jam. Either way, Free says she's "focused man" so anything is definitely possible.

FREE’S PERFECT (ACCORDING TO MY HOMEY)

Speaking of blessed cuties…my man Javon says, “What's going on, illseed? I’d just like to respond to the rumor about Free being pregnant. Well, I ran into Free at the Savannah Airport on October 24 and she was not pregnant. I was actually in line behind her at the security checkpoint and we talked for about 10-15 minutes. She was very down to earth and she really left a great impression on me. If she is pregnant, she's not that far along to be giving birth especially after I just saw her two weeks ago with a perfect body.

I'm so sorry for not getting this info to you guys earlier. I'm slippin' on my pimpin.' LOL. Free was featured on Ultimate Hustler tonight for a hot second. The teams were given a mission to deliver special packages to a select number of people that Dame Dash respects. And.....surprise! Freedom was apart of the crew. Free has been quoted to say Luda is "actually a cool cat." These statements might make you wonder, but on the real, I get the impression that they are close friends. They support each other in a couple of things, birthdays included as some of you can already see.

Gossip guru Jawn Murray commented on the whole Jay and Free rumor way back in February's BV Buzz.

"The rumor mill says they were kicking it nearly three years ago, about the time a certain producer played a hot track for me that she recorded for her still-not-released rap debut, and Jay-Z wrote her verses."

From what I understand (basically heard), Jay-Z's right hand man Ty Ty and his girlfriend were the ones blessed to have a newborn baby – not Free and Jay! All this madness was going down last week, because people were saying that Free (formerly of “106 & Park” had Hovie’s baby boy. There are now pictures floating on the net about this one. If you don’t know who Ty Ty is, he’s been Jay-Z homey forever, but people might recall he’s accused to spraying R.Kelly with mace. I believe he’s the centerpiece of a new lawsuit by Kellz against Jay. I told y’all Free was in Washington D.C. just last month hosting a Millions More Movement show with Chuck D, Public Enemy and a slew of others. Congrats to the lucky pair. And as for Free - keep hope alive!

Free has birthed Jay Z's child.

Yeah, right. And my name is Billy Bob, which by the way it's not. On Wendy Williams' radio show this morning, several people called in claiming that Free and Jay were seen at a New York hospital together. Please people, don't believe the hype. Half of the mess that comes out of Wendy's mouth is bull sh*t and there's no way Free was pregnant with the figure she had at Keyshia Cole's birthday party just 3 weeks ago. Well, at least people are still talking about Free. Hey, any publicity is good publicity.

Free to play a role in Dreamgirls?

I don't know how true this is, but it seems like Free has already landed a minor role in the upcoming film "Dreamgirls." She is supposedly cast alongside Tamyra Gray and Vivian Green as the "Stepp Sisters"--the girl group from the original play who beat the Dreams in the first talent contest. We're just going to have to wait and see how this pans out. I believe the movie begins filming on January 8, 2006.

Free and who?! Mike Jones, Jones!

I know I'm sort of late on this, but Free is in Mike Jones' new video, "Flossin'/Screw Dat." Well........kinda. Free's KING Magazine cover is on the table next to Mike in the beginning of the video. BET WON’T GIVE YOU FREE…

Why was Free absent from the BET anniversary celebration? Well, I have told you all once and I’ll tell you again As much as I like Free, a certain big wig at BET does not. The Boston beauty doesn’t get along with some of the top brass at Black Entertainment Television, from what I heard, and is excommunicated! Now, this rift is so pronounced and deep that I heard she’s basically banned. But she is happy and BET is happy with their nice show. Still, I’ve received word from my peeps and Free’s out enjoying life. And that’s the way it should be! But, don’t expect her at any BET events for…well, forever.
