Listen Live

Listen to Free live, by clicking here, weekdays: 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM. That is, 6 PM - 9 PM Central and 7 PM - 10 PM Eastern. Also catch Free's world every Saturday from 2:00 PM - 6:00 PM Pacific Time.

*If you are having difficulty listening to the show,
email me and we'll try and troubleshoot the problem together.

WTF?!

It seems like things have gone from great, to good, to just bad. Like I've previously stated, The Beat has some internal problems or whatever you want to call it. Now, almost all of the original DJs are gone AND the station has changed the type of music they play from R&B and Hip Hop to just R&B. I don't know how they expect people to keep listening. And how is Free supposed to stay at a station that plays soley R&B? This sh*t is killing me. It seems like everytime Free catches a break, something happens. I really don't know what else to say. Hopefully, this situation turns out for the best.

*Just in case you haven't noticed, the comments have been disabled. If y'all want to talk about something, especially this topic, you'll have to head over to the forum.

Rewind: Vol. 5

It's Friday and I'm excited for a lot of reasons, but y'all will have to wait and see what they are...........

A lot of people came through and called in this week on Free's World. New Edition called the station up to let L.A. know about their upcoming concert in the area and touring. Kenny Smith, ESPN reporter, also dropped a line to talk about the Clippers vs. Suns series and other sports happenings. Free asked him who he would pick for his dream team. Kenny responded with Free, Foxy Brown, and Lil' Kim.

By far, the best interview during the week was with Busta Rhymes and Spliff Star. You know he and Free haven't seen each other in a minute, so it was sort of a catching up session. Busta brought his new joint with him called "I Love My Chick" and it was funny because after the song he started saying, "I love my Free." The interview slipped into a more serious mode when Free asked Busta about the murder of his body guard and friend Israel Ramirez. Busta really went into detail about the reasons why he's not talking to the police and his overall feelings about the situation. It was crazy because it was like he was just talking to Free in his living room. It was real personal.

But whenever Busta and Spliff are in the building things don't stay serious for too long. Free asked Busta who are the top 5 females he would want to get with. First thing he said was, "Halle Berry could get it." *Pause: Why do dudes always say that? I mean, are you sure she feels like you could get it too? Mutual feelings are important in these types of situations. Okay, I'm done now. LOL. *Play: Oprah and Free could get it too, according to Busta. Spliff broke in somewhere in the interview and said that he was proud of Free. He said that she just disappeared and then they found out "sweet toes" had her own thing in L.A. I loved the interview from top to bottom.

Free gave away her Nissan Murano during today's show, which was live on location. The winner started crying, but she definitely needed the car. I don't know if any of y'all heard Armand from the Night Beat on the air. Whoooooo! His voice is something crazy. I understand why he plays all the love songs and such. LOL.

And that's about it. Have a great weekend y'all.

What You've Been Waiting For

Ooooh, I'm so hype right now, but let me share this pic of Jamie Foxx and Free with you right quick.

Okay, on to bigger business. If you've stopped by Free's MySpace page today, then you'll know she has a new blog up. There's some very exciting news at the end of her blog and I quote:

"But now I'd be honored if yall would do me a favor and play A&R for me... So every Tuesday for a month yall will get a song on myspace and you can add it to your page.. The first track should be up around 5PM today.. Holla @ ya girl."

I'm too ready for this. Y'all make sure to swing back over here to leave your feedback about the song.

4 Minutes....And A Little More

Avant chilling in the studio with Free a couple of weeks ago on his birthday.

Free helping out the community on Big Sunday in L.A.

Rewind: Vol. 4

What's good? It's that time of the week again, so let's jump right into it.

Nothing really went down this week. Tracy Ellis Ross came by the studio on Monday to talk about the season finale of Girlfriends (which was extremely good, I hope they return for their last season) . Tracy and Free together is something crazy. They talked about good girlfriends, L.A., and a bunch of explicit things that we will not discuss at this current moment in time. Some 106 memories were shared and Free talked about her wardrobe malfunctions. The whole interview was funny.

Jamie Kennedy called in to talk about his new show on MTV. I still can't figure out if this guy is serious and frankly, I don't want to find out.

Wingo from Jagged Edge called in right before the start of Fandemonium and Free talked about how much she is a fan of their music. He talked about their upcoming single, which he said is for the clubs and the release of their 5th studio album this past Tuesday. (*Side note: "Good Luck Charm" is one of my favorite songs right now.) Free said that when she moved across the country to L.A., there were 3 things that she took with her: the pimp cup Lil' Jon gave her, the teddy bear Luther Vandross signed for her, and the teddy bear Jagged Edge gave to her on their first 106 appearance. Everyone together now: "Aaawwwwww."

The majority of the week was built around hyping up Fandemonium, which went down today........or yesterday. You know what that means? Pictures! As soon as I have them, they'll be up here.

It's late, I'm going to bed, well maybe. But y'all make sure to have a good weekend and wish your mothers a Happy Mother's Day.

Question

What the hell did Free say about something special. I promise that every time I stop listening for a second she starts talking about it. All I know is it has something to do with Friday (maybe?) and 4 o'clock. Anyone know the rest?

Unexpected

If you haven't figured out already, Free's World has been moved back one hour to 4 o'clock. Not only that, but Free's show has been scaled down one hour as well. So now the times are 4-7 Pacific time. The Beat has some serious internal problems and if you check their on-air DJs on a regular basis, than you'll notice that it changes almost every week. The station is slowly getting rid of almost all of its DJs. For what? I really don't know, but many think it's because 100.3 is about to be sold. Whatever the reason, let's hope Free's show continues to come on. I'm mad they're about to get rid of A-One, that was my dude. Let's not forget that Free's World also comes on Saturdays from 2-6 PM Pacific time.

To get you through the extra hour of waiting, I have a feature song of the day. I love this song crazy and I hope you do too. It's Talib Kweli feat. Free with
"Ghetto Love."

Rewind: Vol. 3

It's Friday and that means it's time for your weekly dose of Rewind. Volume 3, that is.

The week started off with Free stating her real age. See
"Ain't Nothin' But A Number" for all the details on that.

Lyfe Jennings came to the studio to talk about his ne album entitled Phoenix and his new song called "S.E.X," which is quite a nice record if I may say so myself. Throughout the whole interview Free told Lyfe of how big a fan she is. If you don't have this man's debut album, Lyfe 268-192, something is missing in your life.

Something that was too cute was Free's mom's surprise call. Free asked her what she was doing calling the station and her mom, Selena, told her that everyone back in Boston was missing her, but that's not the only reason why she called. Apparently, Free's mom is a Jamie Foxx fan because she called to request "Unpredictable."

Tichina Arnold did a phone interview to promote her new movie, Preaching to the Choir and her soon to be movie with Martin Lawrence, Wild Hogs. There was a lot of praise going on between the two with Free saying that Tichina is always around doing her thing. Tichina mentioned that she had to shout out her baby's father and then dropped the typical, "Can't wait for your album to drop." Free said that Tichina's husband has made some "beautiful" music for her and that sent Tichina into praise of Free's music. Tichina knew Free back in the day and she told her to "keep it moving" and "stick to your gut." She continued by saying that the music industry is fickle, but every once in a while a great artist comes along, which will eventually be Free. She also said that she is probably more excited about Free's project than Free herself is. It was a lovely interview.

AJ became the topic of conversation sometime during the week. During a music break, someone in the studio made a comment about loving AJ's clothes and everyone started laughing. Back on the air, Free said she would let us know when AJ would be stopping through, which should be soon. She also said she loved AJ and his tight shirts.

Dame Dash called in right quick to promote a new movie premeiring in California, but I never caught the name of it.

Rewind for this week is a wrap. In honor of AJ...... "Love, live life."

Ain't Nothin' But A Number

So.........................KING Magazine was WRONG. Today on 100.3 The Beat, Free stated her real age. What is it? 36. Some of y'all were right, I know I was wrong along with a ton of other people. But's it's all good. Free said, "All that stuff you read about me being 40 is wrong." Anyone who says otherwise is trippin' and you should let them know.

Rewind: Vol. 2

This week on Free's World........

Not much went down this week. Too Short dropped in and played his new joint. Marques Houston did the same, but by phone. His song was a Free's World exclusive and featured Young Joc. Avant came through and spoke about his album, The Director, his son, his writing process, and his endeavors in the reality business.

Tuesday marked the 4 year anniversary of the passing of Lisa "Left Eye" Lopez. In her memory, a special dedication was made at the end of the show. Along with that, T-Boz called in to explain what exactly she does on the anniversary of her friend's death. She also talked about her album, which actually hasn't been started yet. Lisa's sister, Raindrop, came through on Friday to thank Free for the dedication made to Left Eye.

Field Mob were surprise guests during one of the shows and they talked about their upcoming album entitled "Light Poles and Pine Trees" and some of the songs featured on the CD. "Blacker The Berry" speaks of Smoke's struggle with having dark skin as a child. Smoke tried to say he was the darkest person in the room, but Free reassured him that he wasn't saying that there was a "shadow" behind him aka Chaka Zulu. LOL. There's also a track called "Baby Bend Over," which is for all the women with large behinds. That interview was just crazy from top to bottom.

While the above was all fine and dandy, Free said something on Friday's show that should make the majority of us quite happy. Near the end of the show, she shouted out her MySpace page and said........................................that this weekend she was going to put up a "record" for us to hear. So make sure you keep it locked to Free's page for what's really good. I don't know about you, but I am highly excited about hearing some new material from Ms. Freedom herself.

I hope everyone has a great weekend. I know I will. For right now, I'm so gone.

All I Got

I'm going crazy looking for this AT&T commercial. I finally found something, but unfortunately, it's not the commercial, only a picture. I did find out that it's called "Robot" though. If anyone on the west coast can help me out with this it would be greatly appreciated. Anyway, the picture is on the left. Enjoy!

Before we get to the goods, we're gonna have to reschedule the chat that was planned for Friday. Y'all let me know when you think a good time to reschedule would be. Now.......I've got some more pictures from the Bubba Sparxx concert at the Key Club. Shouts out to Candy for the pictures.

Rewind

I've decided to start doing weekly recaps of Free's World, so welcome to the first edition of "Rewind."

Ciara and producers Tim and Bob both checked in by phone. Ciara spoke about her new album, which she is recording in L.A., and her song with Field Mob, "So What." Tim and Bob showed Free a lot of love and played a new song by Chico, who I think plays Spencer on UPN's Half and Half.

LeToya Luckett stopped by the show on Wednesday and discussed her break from Destiny's Child, her new album, boutique, and her 2 main goals in life: be on the Arsenio Hall Show and be interviewed by Free and AJ on the "red couch." Ironically, LeToya's video debuted on 106 the very same day she sat down to talk with Free. Another Free's World exclusive was delivered called "She Don't." As LeToya was about to bounce, she mentioned Free's potential boot line and long awaited album. Free said that she's trying to get the business side of the shoe thing worked out, but she's still looking for a record label. *Sigh* Anyway......

Lil' Fizz, formerly of B2K, dropped through to present his new joint, "Fluid." Free came up with 4 ideas for Fizz to make a million dollars in 30 days. There was bug spray, soda, work out tape, and condoms. Free asked Cudda Love what he thought of the condom idea and he said it was cool. Fizz said it was a good idea because he's always stealing condoms from Cudda anyway. That whole segment was crazy.

At the end of the show, Free, Eric Cubiche, and K-Sly were clowning on each other. They were saying that Free had a date because she was putting on lip gloss as she was getting ready to leave. She said she wakes up that way and they were like, "Does that mean there's someone there when you wake up?" Free told K "Single" Sly to stop hating and they started asking if she was single. Free said that she was in fact single. Eric asked her if she dated one of the Ying Yang Twins and she said that she and D Roc dated for a whole 30 minutes. Then Eric said that was how Free got on the remix to "Wait." Free said that just means that she was the best girl to ever whisper in his ear.

Speaking of "Wait," Free performed her verse at the Key Club earlier this week with D Roc of the Ying Yang Twins during a Bubba Sparx show. Appartently, D Roc was trying to perform the song, but the club didn't have the record. So, Free headed to the stage, not without protection though. She enlisted the help of fellow radio DJ, Mo' Dav, to stand behind her to make sure she made it to the stage with all hands off. Mo' Dav said it was cool at first until he got took by about 20 dudes trying to get at Free. Regardless, she made it to the stage and I heard her performance was crazy hot. People were calling up the station after the show to talk about her doing her thing.

Master P made a quick stop to talk with Free about the supposed beef between Romeo and Bow Wow, Dancing With the Stars, and Hurricane Katrina. Afterwards, Anthony Hamilton called in to talk about his concert with Heather Headley and Van Hunt and a surprising fact was revealed: Free has written a song for Anthony called "Weather Resistant." He said it's a really beautiful song and
it might make his upcoming album.

Ray J called in during the week, but I, unfortunately, didn't catch that segment. Well, that about wraps it up for this week. Holla atcha folks soon.

P.S. I've updated my MySpace. It's not just a blank page anymore so drop through for me.

Free Friday

Okay, for those of you who missed it, Free's first week on the air ended with a crazy surprise.

Free was interviewing a pastor for Easter Sunday when all of a sudden Jamie Foxx crashed the show with a bottle of Cristal. He said it was to "celebrate Easter" but after the pastor left he said it was to welcome Free to L.A. The deal was that Free and Jamie had to drink the whole bottle by the time the show was over. She sure enough was sippin' and slurpin' on that Cristal. You could hear her trying to get the last drops in her glass. And FYI, they did in fact finish the bottle by the close of the show.

You could tell from jump they were happy to see each other. Jamie said Free was what L.A. needed, some energy and beauty. He also commented on BET's Talent Search saying, "BET searched the whole country looking for someone to fill your shoes and they couldn't do it. You are unique."

Free got Jamie a little gift, which turned out to be a piano. It was funny as hell the way she presented it to him. Monday, it had wrapping paper on it. Tuesday, it had a little bit left. Then she just decided to give it to him like that. I think he really enjoyed the present, he said it was hot and started playing the beat to Blackstreet's "Don't Leave Me."

They played "U Still Got It" featuring Common and Jamie said that since Free is in L.A. now, she can drop a quick 8 on the song from a female's point of view and she said that she was down with the idea.

Time was running out quickly, but Jamie and Free just kept on chillin' with each other: drinking and talking. Jamie spoke about his run ins with soon-to-be famous artists like T.I. and E-40, both of which he told would never make it. Obviously, the opposite ended up happening, so what did he say to Free? "Free, you're never going to make it." I know it sounds bad, but that's not what he meant by any means.
Jamie brought an exclusive record featuring LL Cool J that NO ONE has heard, not even his record company. So, we got our first Free's World exclusive.

Jamie got upset with Free's PA because he was asking him "silly" questions. He said he already knew Free and he didn't need to answer questions like, "How do you feel about Free?" I swear that sh*t was hilarious. He also told Free that he wouldn't hit on her anymore, depending on what she was wearing or unless she wanted him to. There were so many funny moments during the show, I really hope you caught it for yourself.

The interview was so crazy that Free's World spilled over into the next hour! Free's World is virtually 106 & Park on the air. Anything can happen.

Jamie said he's gonna come every other Friday, so make sure you check for the "Bonnie and Clyde" of radio (according to Jamie) every other Friday. With that being said, I was thinking of setting up the chat I was talking about before for next Friday, April 28.

First Day of School

I think Free did great on her first day on 100.3 The Beat. Here are some pictures from that very special day. Shouts out to Lady In Pink for the pics.

*I know I'm kinda slow with these, but I'm trying to work out some technical difficulities that I'm having. Just give me a little bit of time. Anyway, I was thinking of having a chat sometime during one of Free's shows. Tell me what you think. And..........I'm gone.

Phenomenal Woman

This is a page taken from the blog of a former 100.3 The Beat DJ and producer/song writer, PJ Butta. He holds down Butta's Bootlegs and works with the Avila Brothers, a crazy talented group that both produces and sings. I was speechless when I read this. Really, what more can I say? Just read.

3.31.06 Free Dinner

Had dinner with Free (yes the Free formerly of 106 & Park and soon to be afternoon drive DJ on The Beat). We met to talk about music... not my blogs. I've always been a fan of the stuff I've heard her sing and rap on and I was curious why she didn't have an album out? I wanted to know her plans music wise. Was she gonna come out? And if she wasn't... I wanted to convince her she should.

Let me first off say Free is the most sweetest, down-to-earth, humble person you would ever meet.

Free in many ways is a lot like me and that's why we hit it off so well. Usually first encounters are weird and uncomfortable but it was like we were old friends. And she felt comfortable too because she let me hear her music... something she revealed to me that "no one has ever heard." So I was honored and privileged that she would let me hear her stuff. Cause as artists... we can become neurotic. We're perfectionists and are always looking for validation that our art is "good enough." And being a songwriter and a perfectionist I understand how she feels.

Free's music... her own material and stuff she has written is phenomenal. I told her I was mad at her because she doesn't have a record out. She is what's missing in Hip Hop... and in music. She can sing and spit. She can fill the void of Lauryn Hill and take the baton from Missy. That's how dope she is. And that's why I met with her. She is what music needs right now. And if you read my previous blogs... you know me and the Avila Brothers have been looking for that female. I think the musical marriage between her and us can be something magical. And I hope this time... she'll let the WHOLE world hear her music.

100% Genuine

I haven't been around for awhile due to various things, but I'm back in full effect so.........

Free's OFFICIAL MySpace page has been discovered by none other than Braveheart aka IceCity (Yeah, I know who you are:) and I am more than grateful. Thank you so much. This time you can tell it's the realy McCoy because Free actually has a couple of blog entries on there that tell us some info about what she's been up to. Unseen pictures (Thomasina) are also up there for your viewing pleasure. All I can say is I'm really excited about what she's been up to and about to do. She plans on keeping us updated on what's going on with her and it sounds like a lot. The comments left for her are crazy nice and she's had over 11,341 views to her page. "Keep it locked" both here and Free's MySpace page for the latest info.

*You thought I wasn't going to give you the address, didn't you? LOL. I'm just playing, here you go and while you're at it, hit mine up too. I don't have any friends yet. Sad, I know.

Calm Down, It's All Right

Okay, so I've spoken to a few people, you know, got my hustle on, and Free will be starting NEXT week, not this week. Now you can stop doubting and second guessing because Free WILL be on your radio.

*P.S. Dude I talked to said Free is "cool as hell."

And by the way, y'all should really head over to the forum. Braveheart and I gets busy over there (no pun intended). No need to ask, just "come over." LOL.

Free On Your Airwaves

It looks like Free will be hitting your airwaves as soon as Monday, March 20, 2006. Vibe.com reported that she is now apart of L.A.'s 100.3 The Beat family. Free's show is supposed to air weekdays from 3 PM to 7 PM Central Time. Damn, don't live in L.A.? Shoot, neither do I, but it's all good. You can listen to the station online, which I'm actually doing right now. Make sure you tune into your online station on Monday by clicking here.

Hey, remember this? I think we can put a check mark by that. LOL. Get it, Free!

Just 'Cause

I haven't updated in a week, so I have a couple of "just 'cause" things to say....

First of all, today's my BIRTHDAY!

Secondly, I'm STILL looking for Free and AJ's commercial. I've heard that it's pretty funny and that both Free and AJ look nice. I haven't seen it yet and I'm jealous of everyone who has. LOL. I will say this though, I've learned a lot about product marketing from watching a day's worth of commercials on a certain channel. It's funny to see how commercials change throughout the day depending on who's watching. Anyway, I shall prevail in finding this commercial for your viewing pleasure.

I would greatly appreciate if y'all would visit the forum or leave a message on the tagboard.

I'm thinking about making a few changes to the site, major ones, but my lips are sealed for now.....................

Until then, for those of you going through withdrawals, here's an interview Free and AJ did at the 2nd BET Awards (I'm guessing). Enjoy!

High Speed

I've heard through the grapevine that Free and AJ have a new commercial out for AT&T High Speed Internet. Now, I haven't seen the commercial, I really don't watch TV that much and I'm slackin' on my pimpin', but when I do I'll make sure to swing it your way. To those of you who have seen it, how do you like it? I'm real excited to see Free and AJ on TV again.

Free At Last Forum

As promised, the new forum for Free At Last is up and ready to go. I was going to wait awhile to put it up, but if I sit on it any longer I'm going to keep changing things around and then you guys would never get to see it. I've already started some topics and I would greatly appreciate if y'all would reply or add a new topic of your own. All you have to do is register and you're set. Please stop by and check out the board.

*Big thanks to everyone who's been leaving messages on the tagboard. I'm glad you like it.

Yeah, Free's bangin' but....

"...she's no Rachel." That, my friends, is a line from Kanye West's "Improvise." I personally thought the line was funny and I really like the song. We all know about Free and Kanye's little run in on 106 in 2004, but they're cool now. Mr. West publicly apoligized to Free on the couch, giving her flowers. On Kanye's last 106 & Park appearance with Free and AJ he said that he felt like they, along with the BET staff, were apart of his family. Free was actually featured on the intro of one his first mixtapes, right after his fateful car accident.

If you ever get the chance to see Kanye live I definitely recommend that you go. I was lucky enough to attend the Touch The Sky Tour with Keyshia Cole and it was absolutely ridiculous. Yeah, he may be arrogant and everything else you can name, but his stage performance is untouchable.

The song is fairly old. It was supposed to be featured on Late Registration (along with a million other songs) but didn't make the cut. You can take a listen yourself right.......................
here.

For those of you having trouble listening to the song, you can download it here.

Back In The Day

Let me address this right quick and get it over with. Some of you might have seen this clip that seems to be running rampant on the Internet all of a sudden. It's a performance of Bobby Brown at a Boston award show in 1987 with Free making a cameo on stage for a little bit. People are questioning Free's supposed age (nothing new by any means) and are talking crazy. I'm not even going to say anything more about this topic 'cause y'all already know how I feel (see "You Can't Do That"). SOHH.com posted the clip in one of their blogs and one of their users said it best:

"everybody get old,but if you still got talent and make your mark thats all that counts, muthaf**kas act like you are dead when you are in your late 30's are 40's, i mean hell the best rappers are older now and the older singers are way better in any form,so get that young sh*t outta here, youngstas are stupid period,i'm ashamed of my generation, wish i was 40 haha" ~Yall Stupid

LMAO. Let me not say anything else before I get myself in trouble. Just watch the clip.

Lines of Communication

As you all can see, the new tagboard is now up and running. Drop me a line and tell me what you think or just leave a general comment. I still want you guys to leave comments under posts, but the tagboard is a way for us to communicate about anything at all, not just one particular topic. And yes, a message board is coming your way, I just need to get everything right for the unveiling. The picture on the right is what I'm drawing my inspiration from to create the board. I hope y'all enjoy the tagboard and please, LEAVE A MESSAGE!

*Derrell, I am so sorry for the mistaken identity email. That is truly my bad and I'm sorry for the mistake. I'll send you a never before seen picture of Free. Once again, I'm sorry and I hope that makes up for it. :)

Talk With Me

Y'all are gonna have to work with me now 'cause I feel like I'm pulling teeth here. I know a lot of people visit this site, but from the number of comments, it doesn't look like that. I was thinking about creating a message board to go along with the site, but I don't want to spend time on one if no one will go over there. So, to be or not to be? Another idea I had was to put up a tag board, which is not as complicated as a message board. You can easily leave messages on the site for everyone to read. PLEASE, tell me which one you think I should do, or if I should do any at all.

I know the Free info comes few and far between lately, but I have a feeling that will change sometime soon. I want to have something around where we can talk when the tide does actually turn. You can still hit me up through email too.

Fun Fact

This past All Star Weekend Kobe Bryant was asked who his favorite singer was. His answer? Ashanti. His favorite song of the moment? "Focus" remix featuring Free. He said that he got Collectables for Christmas and he "loves" Ashanti. Kobe at least still likes something Black and Free was a part of that. I guess you learn something new everyday. LOL. I'm glad the East took that mess for the second year in a row.

So tell me, did anyone attend any events over the star studded weekend? I hope you had fun if you did.

The Inc, Warner, Atlantic, Sony.... What?!

I'm honestly confused with this whole Murder Inc. ordeal. I still don't feel any particular way about the situation, which is kinda weird to me. No, scratch that. I don't really want Free to go that route. Hopefully, Irv is only going to work on a couple of tracks on her album, something I would prefer much more. But anyway, we shall proceed.

Apparently, Irv Gotti was or is, supposed to hold a high position over at Warner/Atlantic Records. That deal hasn't panned out yet and it's not for certain if it will either. This is where Sony comes into the picture. It seems that Irv's alternate choice is Sony Records, where he will start over from scratch with a his new label. AllHipHop.com's Illseed explains it a little bit better than me in one of his January rumors.

WHAT’S IRV GONNA DO WITH THE INC?

Ok, I was under the impression that Irv was going to go and take The Inc to Atlantic with his pal Lyor Cohen, right? Like I said, I did hear he was over there. Anyway, now I am hearing something totally different. I’m getting rumors that’s Irv may actually dismantle The Inc after the whole federal debacle. He won, but any good gambler knows when to fold ‘em. Well, on top of that, I’m hearing he might actually go with Sony, not Atlantic to start all over again. On a side note, I heard Charli Baltimore has a dis record coming out, but we’ll see…we’ll see about it all!

Got that? Good. LOL. I was rummaging through different Murder Inc. websites to see if I could find anything about Free's rumored signing (which seems to have been a rumor for quite some time) and I eventually did on MurderInc-Online.com's message board. I read the comments about the possible signing and I must say that I found them quite amusing. Some of the members thought adding Free to the Inc.'s roster would be a good idea and of course, some of them didn't. A lot of the comments made me laugh. My favorite was.........

"u put a dollar in my hand, im a part of any plan" she sounds down to me.

To read the rest of the comments, visit the message board at MurderInc-Online.com.

Oooh, I think I like this.....

I was messing around the other day on the Internet, and I stumbled across a site that I had never seen before. It's a fan club called Marie Wright Paradise, created in th name of Free. I really like this site and I'm kidna mad that I didn't discover it before now. The site seems more geered towards just talking to each other, which I like. You get to see what people think of certain things concerning Free. I absolutely loved the polls that were conducted on there; they were very creative. To check out the site just click on the link to MarieWrightParadise, but you have to become a member in order to see all of the messages. Since we're on the subject, I know there are some other Free sites out there. So, tell me which ones you know of and visit often. I'll try and put up a special section for the links and sites you provide. Enjoy!

*That is a mean picture of Free.

As We Proceed To Give You What You Need......

I'm about to hit y'all with a ton of Free info, so please stick with me. I've made a number of new posts, ALL of which I want you to read and leave comments to. From my rant to upcoming events to Free's highly unusual record label situation. I've also added more pics from the Jame's Blunt concert and a new article that I found quite interesting. I figured that I had a lot of new information so, why hold out on you guys? Without further ado, world premiere, pr-pre-miere..........

Is Free Headed Over To Murder Inc?

That's exactly what it looks like according to Wikipedia.com. Apparently, our speculations of Free signing to Def Jam and Motown Records were true. But pregnancy rumors and unsure feelings led Free to decline both deals. So, what are we at now, 5 deals? LOL. Anyway, I'm glad Free didn't sign to Def Jam, it would have been too weird. Okay, so where does Murder Inc. fit into the picture? It seems as if Free is in talks with Irv Gotti's new label after gracing the remix to "Focus" on Ashanti's latest effort. Irv is hoping to make her the "future female rapper" on his premiere label. She is said to be back in the studio recording new tracks for her debut album.

I don't how I feel about Free signing to Murder Inc. The label is full of past controversy, but I feel that both parties are focused and it would be a good look for her. Despite all the possible drama, and whatever else may come, I would be extremely happy just to hear Free's long awaited album. And for those of you thinking, what about Free's relationship with 50? I honestly don't believe he would come at Free crazy. I think they have a mutual respect for each other and too much history for all of that. Remember: this is pure speculation and is not confirmed by any source, take it with a grain of salt. I've said my piece so tell me what you think about it.

I want to send a BIG, HUGE, too cold to hold shout out to PrInCe Of GaNgStA & bLuEz for putting me onto this info. Thank you so much.

Maybe Not.....

There's something that's been bothering me about "Free's MySpace." Yes, everything else looks legitimate, but the pictures that were in question before seem to be available to anyone who wants them. Meaning, the pictures aren't exclusive, they are just pictures that can be found anywhere on the Internet. That isn't the thing that's bothering me though. It's the caption under one of the pictures marked "B-Ball charity event '05." At first glance, I thought the pic was from at least 2004, but it turns out that it's from 2003. That is extremely suspect to me, I think Free would have known when she was at an event. Shoot, at least the year. Also, the picture with Jennifer Lopez has the same tag on it as noted on another site.

I wouldn't expect much from that MySpace anymore, so don't get your hopes up too high. I apologize to all of you who truly believed, including myself, that that was Free's page. But like I said before, the worst case scenario was it could not be Free. We've lost nothing and gained nothing, but yet we must press on. LOL. Hey, you've always got me. Until my next post..... love, live life.

You Can't Do That......

I'm feeling so crazy right now so I'm not even gonna mess around with pictures or finding something humorous to say. I'm just gonna tell y'all what's been on my mind for a minute. And that would be this.....I HATE the way some people speak about Free. No, I'm not asking anyone to like her, that's not the point of this post. But, I have a real problem with people who set limitations on the abilities of other people. Who messed around and made you God? Someone's dreams and aspirations are not a joke to them. What are you living for if you don't have a dream to aspire after?

A lot of people say Free can't do what she wants to do, which is have a music career, because of her supposed "age." Now, I'm going to address this once, and once only. You, as well as I, don't know her true age. Frankly, I could give a damn so stop leaving these matter of fact messages for me, they will be deleted. You know how many "Classes of....." I've heard? Far too many for any of them to be true. And if they are true, I don't believe you, you need more people. Some people might say I'm in denial, call it what you want, I don't care. Just because I don't believe you doesn't mean anything, especially not to me. Question: Who gave you the right to say so and so can't do this or that because of circumstances? Answer: No one, that's who.

You're probably going,"she's just mad 'cause....Free never did this or Free is that." Nah, homie, I promise that whatever reason you came up with isn't it. You think I was never disappointed when Free said that sh*t would drop and it wouldn't? Damn, you think she wasn't? All of that doesn't mean that you can continuously doubt someone's talent without actually giving that person a chance. No one took Jamie Foxx seriously until recently but his talent was always there, wasn't it? He killed it in Ray and Collateral and his album is crazy hot.

People think that because Free was on TV that she can't do anything else or that she's dying without it. When y'all look at the recent pics of her, all most people see is stuff that doesn't even matter (and stuff that I don't see). Have you noticed that she's smiling in almost every one? Free isn't dying, she's still alive. Both "Focus" and "Close To Me" were ridiculous joints and in her own words, she's "a fighter." Free's 'gon be just fine.

And for those of you who think I made this post especially for you, you're really not that special to me, so get that out ya head. I'm stepping off of my soap box now, but everything I said doesn't amount to what Free said herself.

"People were always saying, you can't do this, you can't do that. I decided to name myself 'Free' because if you always listen to what people say, they can stop you from doing what you want to do. I just want to be able to do what I want to do, be me, and not worry about what everybody says."

Ms. F-R-E-E

Check out ya girl looking mighty purrty with Lisa Raye (in complete white, as always) at James Blunt's (I have no idea who that is) House of Blues concert. The event took place yesterday, February 7, in L.A. It's real nice to see Free out and about, especially on her birthday. I looovveee her hair! Since Free is in L.A., we could see some possible Grammy party pics. We'll just have to wait and see. Still, it's good to see Freedom ring. I have more pictures from the event so make sure you check out the Photos section later.

NBA All-Star Weekend

I don't want to overshadow my previous post about Free's MySpace (please check that out and leave your comments), BUT I have to bring y'all the exclusive news. After all, I do claim to be your #1 source for everything FREE. So, don't let nobody tell you I didn't have this info first.

Anyone live out and about the Houston area? If so, you're in luck 'cause Free will be down there for this year's NBA All-Star Weekend. She will be on hand for Magic Johnson's Hoop Magic basketball game, just as she was last year. Stedman Graham (Oprah's man), Julius Ervin, Moses Malone, Big Tigger, actor Chico Benymon, Jamie Foxx, actress Kenya Moore, Bow Wow, Mike Jones, Terrell Owens, Dallas Cowboy Julius Jones, and Kanye West are also set to be in attendance of the event. I stole this little tid bit from this week's edition of Jawn's Juice. When I get more info I'll let y'all know.

"I'm gotta do it B-I-G now." And I'm out like "pheeeeeeewwwwm!" LOL.

Free's MySpace.

Before we jump into the big stuff, let's dabble in the simple things first. I have more updates for y'all. I added......

A couple of pictures.

A clip from the "Fighting Temptaion" Making The Video.

Marky Mark's "Good Vibrations" video. You can catch Free at the very end of the video with 2 other dancers. Free is the girl in the middle breakin' it down. Big, HUGE shout outs to Nailah for putting me onto this. I sincerely appreciate it.

And if you've checked out the navigation bar, you've noticed that a link to lyrics has suddenly appeared. That's because the majority of songs in the Media section now have lyrics to go along with them. I had to go, "Stop, wait, reverse the tape," a million times on some of the songs, but it's all good. I hope you guys check it out and use it for the greater good of the people. You know what that means......kareoke anyone? LOL.

Now, on to bigger business. I was watching MTV2 the other day and I heard Busta Rhymes and DJ Clue talk about their MySpace pages. Well, I ventured over there to see if Free might have one of her own, and lo and behold, I discovered a few. Why I never thought of this before, I don't know. Anyway, there are 3 different pages about Free. One is just a fan page for her
but the other 2 are the pages in question.

I can say for sure that one of the pages is totally bogus. The info on this site is way left and doesn't come close to the truth. You can check it out for yourself by clicking on the link. (
http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendID=25849923 )

I can't say the same for the remaining site. Now, either this person knows Free really well or it is actually Free. What do I think? I think this person could quite possible be Free. The thing the person said about liking rock music kinda rang true for me. I remember Free saying that she liked Maroon 5 and 311. Most of the things written by this person sounds similar to things Free would say. But don't take my word for it, draw your own conclusion. If you want to play Sherlock Holmes yourself, you can compare Free's writing in her former blog to the writing on this particular MySpace.

Free's Blog

"Free's MySpcae"

I think I'm going to stop by there later and leave a comment. I mean, what have you got to loose? The worst case scenario, it couldn't be Free or..... it really could be. So, my people, until next time, keep your head up and keep it righteous. This is FunkyFresh and I'm out.

*P.S. Couldn't none of y'all figure out the lyrics trivia? Come on man. All y'all gotta do now is look in the lyrics section 'cause I'm that good. Nah, I'm only playing. Y'all see that I switched it up on you, right? That's because the lyrics I had up there before were WRONG. Yep, I'm pulling an Oprah. I was so wrong about them, those lyrics were actually by the other female on the track. So for all of y'all questioning if Free really used to "stay blunted," STOP 'cause it's not true. My partial lyrics source had the parts backwards. Anyway, holla at me if you know the answer.

Rumors, rumors, and more rumors.

Okay, y'all know Free stays in the rumor mill like she is the CEO of that mess. That being said, what are some of the craziest rumors you've heard about her? Drop me a line in the comments to tell me what's up. I'll start off. This rumor is from AllHipHop.com, back in August '05.

FREE ESCAPES DRAMA?

Free’s been too quiet. Now, I head that Free barely missed a boatload of drama recently. There is a shoe store in Boston, her native land that she was supposed to buy into. However, I heard that shop got raided and busted for a myriad of offenses (you know what!). Apparently, the owners were living so flashy that it tipped authorities off to some suspicious activity. Initially, I was told that Free was busted too and made a prompt exit from “106 & Park,” but now I see that’s not the case. She was close to being part-owner or investor, but it never materialized, from what I hear.

Where in the hell did that come from? SMH, people talk too much. I told you one of mine so now you have to tell me yours. Hit me up!

It ain't nothin' on my mind but Georgia.

You're probably wondering what I'm talking about. But do y'all remember the post I made called "Airport Run In?" Well, when I first read that Free was in Savannah, Georgia, my first thought was, "What was she doing there?" I heard a while back that she was supposed to be doing a play down there but it never panned out. In my "Happy New Year!" post, Anonymous wrote:

"if u live in atlanta u was seeing a lot of free anyway....but i wish her album will come out this year...i wish she would start back host 106 and park along with aj....i love them together."

Now, I know Free has a few ties in ATL. Of course, she was at Luda's birthday party in September, but what else is there? Could Free be working with certain producers or even living in the A? Or could it be something else........? Oooooh! I ain't said nothin' but a word so take my comments as pure speculation. But if that is what she is doing down there, get it how you live Free! Nah, I'm only playing, but hopefully she's down there working hard for her place in '06. Anyway, if you know better than me about Free's business in Georgia, hit me up with what's really good.

*P.S. Texas killed it last night against USC. Vince Young is absolutely crazy! Shout out to all the Longhorns fans.

Hit me up on the low.

A minute ago I said I was gonna put up my contact info ............. but as you can see that never happened. But, please believe that I never disappoint so my email address is below. "I'm down on my knees, begging you please" don't flood my sh*t, please. That is not cool. Anyway, if you do decide to drop me a line I'll make sure to get back to you. In the mean time, holla atcha folk.

*P.S. I added a bunch of photos and a couple of articles and interviews, so make sure you swing by both spots and check them out.*

Happy New Year!

Well, the ghetto ball where I live lit up about 30 minutes ago signaling the end of 2005 and the fresh beginning of 2006. And it's definitely gonna be a big year for Free. TV, radio, shoes, makeup, music? Who knows, just count on seeing a lot more of Free. She was planning on getting everything popping this year anyway so everyone should look out for her to "come up in the spot lookin' extra fly." I love this picture of Free. To me it epitomizes a "brighter day, brighter day." LOL. Y'all getcha party on tonight and be safe! "Holla at me maaaann!"
